The District Chief Executive for South Tongu, Hon. Victoria Dzekle, has received a joint delegation from the Fisheries Commission and the leadership of the Aquaculture Community Commercialisation Programme (AquaCCop) for a strategic working visit at her office.
The engagement focused on technical discussions, site evaluation and operational planning aimed at paving the way for the implementation of the AquaCCop initiative across the district.
The DCE was joined by Mr. David Awuku-Nyanteh of the Fisheries Commission, Sogakope, as well as members of the AquaCCop executive team, including Chairman Godson Agbemasu, Vice Chairman Daniel Kwasi Gattor, Organiser Emmanuel Akpatsu, Treasurer Atwor Alice, Secretary Keny Seth Agbesi, and Media & Relations Officer Peter Narteh.
The discussions resulted in practical strategies to facilitate the local rollout of the programme, with a focus on creating sustainable economic opportunities, empowering young people and promoting aquaculture as a viable livelihood.
Hon. Victoria Dzekle reaffirmed her administration’s commitment to supporting initiatives that can drive economic growth and position South Tongu as a vibrant aquaculture hub.
